The biggest football rivalry in HBCU history is going to take place 1:30 p.m., Saturday, April 17, at Independence Stadium in Shreveport, Louisiana. The Grambling State University Tigers are going to go head-to-head with the Southern University Jaguars for year-long bragging rights.

Party on the Red

Equally exciting is the off-the-field entertainment starting with the planned Party on the Red, April 16-17, which will take place at Festival Plaza in downtown Shreveport from 4 p.m. – 12 a.m. Friday and Saturday. There will be amazing food, all-day entertainment, and craft vendors. All social distancing protocols will be mandated.

Classic Expo

Classic Expo, presented by the Shreveport-Bossier African American Chamber of Commerce, will showcase local Black-owned businesses and provide educational seminars, as well as engaging panel discussions, April 15-17, at the Shreveport Convention Center.

Throughout the entire weekend, fans are encouraged to shop, dine and play in Shreveport-Bossier, Louisiana. With so many things to see and do, this is bound to be the classic experience you’ve been waiting all year for.
